ON3
1-2-3! A call to action for brands, converters, manufacturers, consumers and policy makers to enter into a grand partnership. Together, we can shape the future of sustainable compostable packaging. Our mission consists of 3 key pillars:
Global Everyday Impact
Flexible packaging touches almost every person on the planet almost every day. Making positive changes here will impact the lives of billions of people, with the potential to address the behaviors causing climate change on a global scale.

Sustainable Disruption
It’s time that sustainability took advantage of disruptive innovation. But disruption doesn’t need to imply negative. Even incremental changes, implemented and communicated correctly, can bring about massive, positive change.
Positive Economics
You have a tangible, immediate incentive to reduce systemic risk from climate change at the macro level and the risk from shifting consumer expectations and legislation at your brand level. The upside opportunity also is clear: Brands perceived as sustainable are driving double-digit category growth.

IMPACT

Our mission has recruited a group of talented and accomplished partners in sustainability disciplines who are ready to co-create on any client engagement where their thought leadership will enhance the project outcome.

Together, we'll bridge the gap between the current approaches using fossil based plastics and leverage the latest sustainable material innovations to drive value creation, growth and outsized returns. We will help you accelerate your timeline from ideation to commercialization for elevated and certified compostable structures.

Stuart MacDonald
Founder, Principal
Stuart has been focused on advanced sustainable materials for over a decade. He partners with Fortune 50, emerging brands and leading disruptors to select compostable materials that will drive value creation and accelerate growth for their sustainable products.
He has cultivated close and collaborative ties with SME's across the entire value chain, dedicated to rethink the value of packaging to create lasting positive impact. These include the major compostable resin producers and their work to push the boundaries of compostable polymers, experienced converters in compostable films committed and capable to respond to scale, and advanced materials labs at key universities. Stuart's experience working with commercial compost facilities and his understanding of their technologies ensures that the end of life destination of our client's products complement and are aligned with the commercial needs of this critically important stakeholder group. His current R&D collaborative work is focused on barrier improvements for compostable films at the extrusion point.
